CUBS VISIT
The 5th Woodley Cubs visited us to be introduced to the sport of lawn bowls. It was not without its anxities as our hallowed green is unaccustomed to young ones running up and down it.
It was rewarding though to observe the talents of the youngsters. Both boys and girls showed a level of accuracy and an aptitude for the sport. Their exuberance though, left our senior members feeling quite exhausted and in need of refreshments after the youngsters’ parents had collected them.
We were pleased too that they had listened and respected the importance of keeping the green intact. We look forward to having them visit again. Organised by Linda.
