Diamond Jubilee Garden Party
The Berkshire Community Foundation were instrumental in securing two members of Hurst Bowling Club to be present at the Diamond Jubilee Garden Party at Henley.
The club captain and fundraiser were chosen as ambassadors for our club. The occasion showed beyond doubt the hard work and passion that the Berkshire Community Foundation invests in obtaining funds in support of projects such as ours. It was also very good to meet some of the Trustees. Their donation of time, work and energy support this solid structure.
Our fundraiser was privileged to be introduced to the Queen and prince Philip at this occasion.
The entire afternoon was a momentous one. Three counties were represented at the party, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire accounting for four thousand guests.
