THE BISHOP OF READING’S VISIT TO HURST BOWLING CLUB

Sunday 19th Aug 2012 was a successful day for us. The match against our neighbours, Twyford bowling Club, is both competitive and friendly. The day was very hot and sunny and we had great fun with our long standing friends.
We retained the cup as well as renewing our friendships. Thanks to Sandra and Roland who did us proud by providing a most delicious tea.
On Wednesday August 15th 2012, we were pleased to entertain the Bishop of Reading, The Rt Revd Andrew J Proud. The Bishop had heard of Hurst Bowling Club's Thursday Community Project and wanted to leatn more abouit it.
The Berkshire Community’s Chief executive Officer, Andrew Middleton kindly agreed to facilitate the Bishop’s visit to our club.
