Most of this message will, I am sure, not surprise you.
We have cancelled both our Pre-season Meeting on March 29th and the Open Day on April 18th.
In addition all our April opponents have been contacted and those matches are provisionally cancelled.
We will attempt to keep the green maintained so that it will not take us long to prepare it for play when the emergency is over, but it will not be open for any play, including roll-ups, until further notice.
Bowls England and the RCBBA are due to have emergency meetings on Thursday 19th March to discuss the situation with reference to the Coronavirus outbreak, so be prepared to hear of further cancellations.
I have to report that Dave Green is recuperating from a serious medical episode so please do not trouble him with Club matters.
Suzanne, Eric, Anthony and June are all currently abroad. We cannot be certain just when they will make it back to the UK. Please address any queries to me or the other Committee members.
More information will follow as and when the situation changes.
Ronnie and I are in self-isolation as most of us should be.
