That’s the message from Bowls England to its members and clubs in response to the latest Government guidance on the Coronavirus outbreak.
Bowls England last week announced the cancellation of all its domestic events ahead of the 2020 lawn bowls season including its National Championships, and now wishes to ensure that members and clubs play their part.

cancellation of all its domestic events ahead of the 2020 lawn bowls season in
response to the latest Government advice and growing concerns from bowlers
about how the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak will impact lawn bowls.
The decision, which was
reached at an Emergency Meeting of Board members and key staff, held on Tuesday
17th March, covers all National Championships, National Competitions and other

IMPORTANT NEWS:
Dear Members
Most of this message will, I am sure, not surprise you.
We have cancelled both our Pre-season Meeting on March 29th and the Open Day on April 18th.
In addition all our April opponents have been contacted and those matches are provisionally cancelled.
We will attempt to keep the green maintained so that it will not take us long to prepare it for play when the emergency is over, but it will not be open for any play, including roll-ups, until further notice.
